Happy Endings. . .

JeffHey Mandy,

It has been 2 weeks that I have been fostering Jeff and I have made the decision to adopt him. I vaguely remember you stating the adoption fee as $150 and I suppose I make the check payable to "St. Frances Animal Center". If you could confirm this I would appreciate it. I hope I can do this by mail by sending you the check (and your martingale collar). Once you receive the check then you could send me the rest of his records (health, microchip info.) and any forms that I need to sign and I will mail those back.

Jeff has done remarkably well. That is my feeling and a direct quote from my husband. From the 3rd day, he is eating well, sleeping well, playing with Molly (thieving toys), exercising well. We see more and more of his tail whipping around in joy! He is starting to behave like a pet in our household...barking when the doorbell rings, barking at deer in our backyard- all of this is great! We have not had one "pee accident." and no house destruction. Since the past week he has been sleeping on the couch with Molly at night without any incident. The only time I crate him is when we leave the house which are few and far between. The other time I crate him is at mealtime because MOLLY steals his food. He was nervous at first riding in a car but we take a short car ride every morning and this is starting to become routine.

A friend of mine saw him at the Bark Park-1 day after I picked him up. She just saw him again for the second time today 2 weeks later and she asked me in all seriousness "Is that the same dog? It doesn't look like the same dog!" I think that about sums it up! We look forward to Jeff's growing confidence everyday and showing us more and more of his cute personality at his own pace.

Jeff tells me that while he misses you and the rest of the gang at St. Frances, he has decided to stay here. We couldn't bear to give him back either!
